A Bit About Kristin
Kristin (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialty training and experience in working with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns with young children, adolescents, and adults. Having worked in higher levels of care for both general mental health and eating disorders, Kristin appreciates the importance of helping individuals remain in their homes and communities as often as possible, where supports and familiarity can be used as both therapeutic challenges and avenues to healing. She also recognizes that there is no "one right way" to successfully begin the eating disorder recovery process. Kristin is wholeheartedly dedicated to a person-centered and flexible approach to every individual she serves.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher, Kristin also enjoys supporting individuals in tapping into the sacred mind-body intuition and wisdom that is so often drowned out by diet culture, social norms, and toxic messages we receive about how to "be" in our bodies. Kristin knows that all bodies fit and practices from a HAES perspective.
Outside of Wild Oaks, Kristin serves as the Clinical Director for Richmond Creative Counseling and oversees over 65 therapists, providing clinical support and licensure supervision for Supervisees in Social Work and MSW interns. When she's not at work, she is usually with Felix- her handsome, mischievous, and beloved Boxer- or getting lost in a good mystery book or true crime podcast.
