Carla Crutcher

Carla Crutcher is a Registered Dietitian and the Director of Nutrition Services of Wild Oaks. She provides program development and execution of nutrition care within the Wild Oaks Eating Disorder IOP. She also provides one-on-one outpatient nutrition care through Richmond Creative Counseling.

 

Carla is devoted to providing individualized nutrition care to those in the recovery process from eating disorders and disordered eating. She is passionate about providing care to all people, including folks who are neurodivergent, people of size, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

Throughout the care process, Carla works to support individuals to heal their relationships with food while relearning how to sustainably nourish the body and mind. Carla strives to provide care that is focused on eating for an individual’s well-being, both mentally and physically, utilizing core concepts of Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, body trust, and joyful movement in the treatment process as appropriate.

 

Carla holds a Master of Science degree from CUNY Hunter in Nutrition and completed her Dietetic Internship at Prairie View A&M University. Since then, Carla has worked in the mental health field, focusing on nutrition care for those with eating disorders, disordered eating, and other mental health concerns at the outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization levels of care. Carla is dedicated to continuing her learning and expertise in these areas and is currently working on completing her Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) certification.
