Natalie Taylor

Natalie Taylor (she/her) is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director of Wild Oaks. She is incredibly excited to be a part of the development and implementation of Wild Oaks' Eating Disorder IOP. Natalie will be a primary member of the intake assessment team and will also facilitate groups to help clients understand their eating disorders. As one of the PMHNPs at Richmond Creative Counseling, Natalie provides medication management and supportive counseling services for adolescents and adults suffering with eating disorders among other presenting issues.

 

Passionate about the treatment of eating disorders, Natalie is pursuing the distinction of Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Foundation and is under the supervision of Dr. Kerry Landry, MD, CEDS. Natalie is passionate about being an integral member of a well-rounded treatment team for brave individuals along their journey towards recovery from an eating disorder.

 

Natalie also has extensive experience and training to treat a variety of psychiatric conditions often seen in the eating disorder population such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and bipolar disorder. Natalie believes strongly in patient autonomy and the importance of being invested in one's own treatment. She is passionate about working within each unique family system to create solutions for long-term success of her patients.

 

When she's not working, Natalie enjoys running, hiking, spending time with her people, and the chaos of her large family including her five amazing kids.

 

Natalie holds a Master of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University.
